Through leadership, character and citizenship development, cadets receive the “real-world” knowledge necessary to be successful in whatever they choose to do after high school — be it enlistment, employment, education or some combination of what Henrico County Public Schools refers to as the “Three E’s.”
Program goals are to:
*Develop leadership and build character.
*Create informed, patriotic and responsible citizens.
*Develop responsible young adults who are physically, mentally and morally fit.
*Develop informed and civic-minded young adults prepared for higher education, civilian careers and public service.
*Instill self-discipline, respect and responsibility through military-related subjects and activities.

SgtMaj. Cauley

The J.R. Tucker MCJROTC Color Guard adds a measure of dignity and respect on those occasions when the national colors are saluted. For example, before each home football game the National Anthem is played and the color guard provides the national ensign for the ceremony. In addition to providing a color guard during football games, the color guard presents the colors at events in and around the greater Richmond area. The color guard has presented the colors at the request of the governor of Virginia and at major sporting events in the area. Additionally, the color guard competes in competitions within the state.
