JRT Athletic Events Information

Dear Tiger Families,

With our first home varsity football game happening this Friday at 7 p.m. versus Caroline HS, we would like to take this opportunity to share important information and procedures.

Please make sure you read the information at the bottom called "JRT Athletic Events (Stadiums and Gymnasiums).

Campus will close 15 minutes after the football game is over. Please coordinate rides so that you pick up your child within that timeframe. At the end of the third quarter we will announce over the PA for students to call their rides to let them know the last quarter is beginning.

Ticket Information

Athletic Tickets are cashless. All tickets must be purchased online.

Prices: Varsity Football= $10.00. Other sports, including JV games= $8.00

Students must have their ID badge for entry.

FAQs:

Question: *Can I bring my large cup/tumbler into the games?

Answer: *No. A sealed water bottle is allowed.


Question: *Do I need a clear diaper bag?

Answer: *No, if you don't have a clear diaper bag then your bag will be checked by security.


Question: *As a student, can I still get into regular season games for free if I lose/forget my ID badge?

Answer: *No. You will have to purchase a ticket.


Henrico Schools has a clear bag policy for school-sponsored sporting events - backpacks, large purses, and large bags are no longer allowed.

Fall Sports Information

Athletic Update: Fall Sports Information

*VHSL Sports Physical Policy* No Physical + No Insurance= No Participation

Sports physicals are valid for 14 months from the date the physician signed the form. Parents & Guardians- Please assist the athletic department in monitoring your child’s physical date.

Physicals could expire during the season, athletes could become ineligible during the season if this occurs.

Forms: :  ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION/PARENTAL CONSENT/EVALUATION FORM

Sports:

Boys Volleyball: Tryouts August 3rd from 6:00-9:00pm in the main gym. Practices will continue Monday- Friday until the start of School. No experience needed for rising 9th and 10th graders. You can find more information at jrtuckervolleyball.com/

Cheerleading: First practice- July 30 at 4:30, aux gym. Tryouts were held previously. Bring a water bottle.


Cross Country- Monday August 3 at JR Tucker 7:30-9:30 AM. After that, practice will be Tues, Wed and Fri, same time, at various parks around town. Full schedule with locations will be emailed. Bring a watch, towel and water bottle.


Field hockey: Tryouts, August 3- 5, Time: 6:00-8:00pm. Meet at the stadium- Bring FH regulation shin guards, mouth guard, stick, tennis shoes, an updated physical, water bottle.


Football- July 30-Aug. 7 from 4:00pm-8:30. Meet at the stadium. Bring cleats, tennis shoes, and water bottle.


Girls VB- Tryouts are held August 3 & 4 from 12:00pm-3:00. Check-in and registration starts at 10:30am on August 3 in the main gym.


Golf: Practice will be 11:45-2:00 on July 27 at The Hollows. Contact Coach Dorton.
