The Final Week

We can’t believe how fast this year has gone, but we can promise you that we’ve led with love and always put your kids first. We know our purpose, and our actions have shown it time and time again. Thank you for trusting us and for being part of such a special community. Together, we've created a school year full of joy, growth, and unforgettable moments.

To our 5th grade senior families, please know that this entire week will be dedicated to your children and sending them into middle school with the best memories of Greenwood. They have left their mark on our school, and we can’t wait to celebrate them every step of the way.

It’s time to celebrate our students’ growth and effort! Families will receive their child’s final Daily Report in the green take-home folder. Students with six or more X’s or one discipline referral will take part in a restorative circle lesson led by our counselors and administrators to reflect on their choices and set positive goals for the summer and the upcoming school year. We are deeply grateful for our families and their continued partnership in helping every child shine.

Wednesday, May 28: 5th Grade Party

If you haven’t already, please send in $10 via cash or CLICK HERE to purchase ticket online. Your contribution helps create an unforgettable celebration for our 5th grade seniors. Families of non-5th grade students are also welcome to sponsor a student by contributing toward the cost. Please note: this is not an open event for parents to simply attend, but we do have a limited number of volunteer spots available for those interested in helping. The 5th Grade Party is a beloved Greenwood tradition that celebrates our students’ achievements and helps mark their transition to middle school with joy and pride.

Thursday, May 29: Graduation Ceremonies
We are excited to celebrate our students and honor their achievements during our end-of-year graduation ceremonies. Parents and guardians are welcome to attend—please plan for extra time to park and go through our weapon scanner upon arrival. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and we will continue to follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for everyone.

If your child's ceremony takes place in a classroom, we kindly ask that younger siblings not attend in order to preserve a more intimate and meaningful experience. Due to limited space, seating will be tight. We will not be calling Greenwood siblings out of class to attend their siblings’ ceremonies, as we have many special activities planned throughout the day in their classrooms.  After the ceremony, families are welcome to check out their Gator in the main office. If not checking out your child, we respectfully ask that you exit the campus promptly to allow parking for the next group of families.

Thank you for helping us make this a special and smooth celebration for every student—we can’t wait to recognize all they’ve accomplished!

Ceremony Schedule:

All graduating high school seniors are invited back to Greenwood for one final walk through the halls with their families and our 5th grade seniors at 8:00 AM. Please arrive on campus no later than 7:50 AM so we can begin promptly. This heartwarming tradition, started nine years ago, inspires our younger students to dream big and celebrate the journey ahead. We love our Greenwood alumni and are incredibly proud of your accomplishments. Once a Gator, always a Gator—your legacy continues to shine!

Following the Senior Clap Out, we’ll hold our final pep rally of the year, and graduates are welcome to stay and experience the Greenwood magic with our current Gators. It’s a beautiful full-circle moment that reminds us all of the lasting impact of community, connection, and celebration! Let’s GO!

Friday, May 30: Moving Up Ceremony
This is the best pep rally of the year, featuring performances from our dance teams, drumline, step team, cheerleaders, flag twirlers, and more! Parents are invited to this special celebration at 8:30 AM. We’ll honor our Spirit of Greenwood recipients, announce the new Head of House and Spirit Captains, and recognize staff achievements. Bring tissues as we cheer on our 5th grade seniors and close out the year with joy and gratitude!
