Youth Leadership Institute (YLI): Cristina Rodriguez has received a full scholarship for a 5 day college empowerment YLI conference at the University of Southern California awarded by the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF). Cristina is among 440 students which have been recognized with this honor from a national applicant pool of 4,500 students. Among a very strong pool of applicants, her academic, extracurricular, and leadership credentials made her an extraordinary fit for this competitive program. 

AgDiscovery Program at UVI St. Croix: Cristina Rodriguez has been accepted into the AgDiscovery program, a summer outreach program to explore careers in agricultural sciences. Cristina will spend 2 weeks at the University of the Virgin Islands in St. Croix where she will learn from university professors and USDA experts and will engage in a diverse array of agricultural sciences. This interactive, hands-on experiential learning curriculum will focus on animal science, agribusiness, aqua- and hydroponics, biotechnology, horticulture, and veterinary medicine. 

Tucker’s track 4x800 women’s relay qualified this past weekend for states! The relay team consisted of Mariah Jameson, Ananda Hamlin, Cristina Rodriguez, and Sydney Ford.
